Non-Medal Collectors, Any Favorite Designs?

I've never been into medals as a collectible nearly as much as coins; while many are incredibly historical, the function as a specialized issue just isn't as interesting to me as typical numismatic issues. However, there are plenty of interesting designs out there that have always stood out to me. Besides the Libertas Americana, one of the types that I've always found interesting was Betts-617, the Franklin and Washington Peace of 1783 in silver. One of the coolest early eagle designs.

These were struck in bronze as well:

What a rich color. I don't know why, but I've always preferred this issue in silver, but the Libertas in bronze. The example I posted is the Ford specimen, one of just a small handful of confirmed examples in silver, but I've never seen an estimate on the number known in bronze.

That '1783' medal is one of a series of 4 medals commissioned in Philadelphia by Joseph Sansom. The dies were produced by John Wright, and the medals struck at the U. S. Mint in ca. 1805 or so. All are avidly sought after. The first medal I ever purchased was another member of this series, the Washington/Presidency Relinquished medal (an original):

I finally located the TrueView of the companion medal of the bronze medal, being struck in silver. Unfortunately, the label has a erroneous description, showing it as a J-CM-6, when it actually is the J-CM-5.

Excellent choice! And I will not be lured into collecting blast white coins. Deal? :p

I like the design work by Lucien Bazor, especially this [Chariot of the Sea] L'Atlantique ocean liner medal:

Here are a few others by him:
