I've been searching for about two years or so for what I felt was a real nice Liberty Quarter Eagle. I finally came across one I really liked. Yes, it's not "perfect", but it's the nicest one I've seen in that period.

Gorgeous $2.5 Lib!!!!!
This is more than remarkable. Really great!
Super nice set! Your 1904 twenty Lib. is amazingly clean!!!! I've seen quite a few in the same grade, w CAC that don't come close to your's!
Seriously Very nice. Time now to work on that pre-1839 set?
Ha! Much too expensive for my budget!

Next upgrade should include a CC in there somewhere.
Nice! That beats mine.

I really love the look of that coin---great purchase
Holy Cow! I must admit that I was expecting nice coins, but was not expecting such uniformly high grades and quality. Congratulations!

You have an impeccable taste for nice gold with outstanding luster.
Thank you for sharing your gold type set with us.
Wow. Nice set. That Saint either has a nice photo, is a tremendously lustrous coin, or both. When I look at a 12-piece set I'm immediately drawn to the Type 2 gold dollar and the $3. Both of these spots in your set are pretty nice.
This is a really, really nice quarter eagle.
Thanks for your kind words. That Saint is a luster bomb (and the photos they took tried to "reflect" that )

Real nice!
I'm not a gold person, but that is a sweet set.
All of the coins are gorgeous and well matched. You can't go wrong with superb gem gold.
If you wanted to, you could probably add the 1834-1838 classic head coins in choice BU or close to it for around the same price range as some of the other coins.
Beautiful set! Congratulations!

I had the pleasure of meeting Steven at this year’s FUN show. Although the meeting was brief, I could tell the passion he has for nice coins. I can just imagine what his wine collection has in stock.
Thanks for your kind words. While I’d prefer not to detour this thread, I’m so very fortunate to have started my wine hobby several decades ago, so I was able to get on key waiting lists early to then actually get on their highly allocated mailing lists. Two key examples are Screaming Eagle and Sine Qua Non. No wines in my cellar are for investment - they are aged a bit, and then we drink them with friends at nice restaurants (I wonder why I have so many friends? - lol).

Very nice set....... That 1904 double eagle looks like a 66.
The fields, Liberty's face and the eagle, etc. are at least that. BUT, there's that "little" dark line/mark on the reverse. I sent it to PCGS for Restoration, and they made it a bit lighter and a lot thinner, but it is still very obvious to the naked eye. With that, I agree with the 65+. By the way, the actual coin is SUPER lustrous, which does NOT show in the photos used for the digital album.

Awesome!
I just looked at the whole set, I missed that part yesterday... Impressive!

Very nice set! To me personally this 12 coin type set is some of the best US collecting has to offer. In general I'm more into dark side stuff but I'm slowly chipping away at it long term as well.
OH MY!
Superb, I'm sure the rolling luster of those coins when viewed in hand is downright hypnotic!
Great looking set and nicely presented!
Very nice. Your Saint appears to have a much better than average nose - so many of these are smashed-in and/or poorly struck even on high-grade coins.
Very nice quality- like all of your sets!
