Anyone else dipping into your collection for cash?

I have a credit card and ample cash but the problem is some places are cash only PLUS exact change only. Had to skip taking garbage to the Town transfer station since that is their new policy along with social distancing. I have one five dollar bill plus twenties and fifties but no singles or even a ten. There is another store I need to go to soon which is cash only also with pick up outside. Giving out tips for special help is also going to be a problem.
So I looked into my collection and it's kinda embarrassing some of the carp I have saved, some of it has been lugged around for 30 years. So soon I will be spending some circulated Ikes and clad fifty cent pieces and then some SBA's. Hopefully I can convince people they really are money!
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.

Good luck convincing the young people... who have not seen some of those coins...Cheers, RickO
Some ATM's will let you choose smaller bills down to $5. By me those are far and few between but they are out there.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Been debating it. Hard to justify $1650 on wheels and tires for a project car without something to offset that expense in this climate.
Collector, occasional seller
I have used the dollar coins for years for tips for fast food workers and car wash attendants...they tend to get a kick out of it even though they may not know what it is.
No, they still take credit cards at the local grocery, which is only place I get to go these days..
I've been hoping that the current situation would dampen the bids in a few auctions, but that does not seem to be the case. It's the same as always. If I bid, the lot goes crazy.
For pickup we order ahead and pay by CC over the phone. I have yet to encounter any business that is open that is only accepting cash. I do not deal with craigslist sellers or meeting people in the alley.
