Atlanta ANA NEWP and Show Report

This was a last minute decision as a friend invited me to ride along to the show. It’s about 3 to 4 hours away from me.

It was a pleasant ride it started out snowing in North Carolina but was clear and nice the rest of the way.

I met @amwldcoin at his table. I heard other members were there but unfortunately I didn’t meet anyone else. I did see Julian at his table briefly.

A few random pictures:

I saw a lot of really cool stuff.
They were giving out elongated cents made for this show. I noticed they were mostly zinc Lincolns, I dug around and found a copper one and to my surprise, it was my birth year!

Anyway, I had a very limited budget so I wanted my purchase to pack in a lot of cool for my money. I was almost through the entire show and was starting to think I might leave empty handed until I found it!

It’s not a coin I need, but I like it a lot and love the holder. VERY high end for the grade I promise you!

Gold on gold!

I overpaid for the quarter eagle.
I actually paid slightly over 64 bid for it. I normally pass on prices that much higher, but I had to have this one.

The 1903 quarter eagle looks very undergraded by present standards....... Thumbs up!

That quarter eagle looks really CLEAN and the NGC #3 is my FAVORITE holder!!

If anything is done to the coin, it'll be stickered as this is one of my all time favorite holders. I believe it would gold sticker no question.

Yes, I agree with this. I think you did well buying an under-graded coin in a type 3 fatty for a little over 64 money. You should go for a gold CAC sticker.

I’m happy with it and I’ve wanted a gold coin in the gold foil NGC for a while now so it’s a double win for me!
