Brief view of headline/main photograph, then blocked.
Sorry about that. I'll hold off on a copy and paste. Hopefully it will go 'live' soon.
Second time through, I got to see the three photos, but article still blocked.
I'm blocked as well.
.
Not blocked on pics or article.
Glad to see the visible security - probably accounts for no tents or bums outside..
I hope they are very successful.

Anyone read the comments? Yikes...some bad vibes in the 1st 2.
The comments were posted on this forum, briefly. The article was kinda average, trying to be friendly/folksy. Not a lot of depth. Kinda assumed some prior acquaintance with the SF Marina area. I still cannot access the article at SF Chronicle.
If I hadn't seen some earlier photos of the building here, it would not have meant as much. Best wishes to the proprietor.
I can read the article just fine. My browser is Google Chrome.
Actually, I posted the article itself, not the reader comments (which I can't access from the Chronicle digital edition). I deleted the article due to possible copyright infringement issues, and agree that it offered little of educational value to most on this board. There were photos of the interior and exterior of the store, which were interesting. Right below the article was the obituary of Robert Conrad, whose passing had escaped my attention previously.
I could read the comments, but as usual, they are irrelevant.
There is always someone who wants to complain anonymously....
It's not the same as a vote. With comments, only people who feel very strongly will bother to comment. Majority will be silent.
I get a big block that I am not a subscraper to the SF Comical so canna read.
I am blocked as well... I could see the first picture of the interior....Looks nice. Unfortunately, San Francisco has lost its past glory.... I used to live and work in Mountain View, CA (just outside of SF) and often went to the city. I really liked it then...Cheers, RickO
While not a deep article, it's still a positive one for our hobby and @SethChandler is definitely one of the good guys in the business, we need more like him.
As for the article, yes there's a block but there's a way around it, at least in Chrome. The way to stop the block is to let the page load just for a bit, then hit the X (stop load) button on your browser. If you time it right, you will be able to read the whole article. I've had success on other websites with this method too.

Worked like a charm, light article but still hobby positive. Like the interior, looks like a museum instead of a disorganized hovel like a lot of coin shops seem to.
I found out why I could easily view the article at work, but at home I had to use @ElmerFusterpuck's trick.
At both places I use Google Chrome on Windows.
1. Work ad blocker: uBlock Origin (this lets me view it).
2. Home ad blocker: AdBlock (this gets detected by the page, so I use the trick)
Is this the San Fran coin dealer from the thread of a couple weeks ago?
Wish him well...
