As always, if real, why is it being sold raw?
If real it would come back details

That was my first thought. Why would a dealer sell a coin like this without first getting it slabbed? Probably been cleaned. Hairline scratches can disappear in a pic under the wrong lighting.

The bright light on a eBay or other such site tends to hide lots of hairlines and flaws. I too, would suspect owner/dealer is of the mind it will come back with some type of details description.
That is a serious rim ding, and there are marks and scratches visible even in that beauty shot that would - IMO - require in hand scrutiny. Cheers, RickO
I believe that the coin is genuine, but the photos are way over exposed which has been done to hide the many marks that are on the surface. There is also a noticeable rim nick on the obverse which will probably keep it from getting a straight grade.
I've bought raw gold before (common date bullion) , but always in person where I can see the piece firsthand, and never a key date that's been known to be counterfeited... I would only purchase those in either PCGS or NGC plastic...
