Curious if anyone here has any coins or items related to Numismatics that leaves them scratching there head. Maybe ever so minor maybe not. If you got em share some! Here is mine when I first entered the hobby or not long after. To this day a solid answer was not given nor agreed upon. :)

I have a nickel somewhere that has a very similar shaped object on the reverse.
I'll need to try to look for it later.

This one had me puzzled for a long time. It came from a very large estate I bought out years ago. It was in an old 2x2, marked 'valuable?' Couldn't find anything on it, misplaced it for about 10 years, then came across it recently and posted it on the Foreign and Ancients forum.
The conclusion seems to be that was an old button!

That may be an air pocket from the copper layer over zinc that can be popped with a toothpick.

When I first looked, I thought it was a small hubcap from a 1957 Chevy.

Yes it could have been. Although I gave several people permission to poke and prod including Mr.Potter who has the coin in hand and it did not alter the object on the coin. (I also did so with a Bobby pin or something metal at the time) Bc I was in experienced > @DCW said:

That is some button! Could they establish a time period for it? > @Walkerguy21D said:

Other then a creepy Homunculus LOL I believe it to be a die chip but if so you would think more would pop up in circulation.

I got this in a trade a few years back. It was able to circulate for a time before someone noticed it.
