A 3 hour trip from Boston to Augusta last Friday at 5AM took me 5 hours, the Maine Turnpike was all ice and littered with crashed cars and jackknifed tractor trailer trucks. Stay off the roads if you can and Happy New Year.

Coming home from work in the storm I only saw one accident, the front end of the car was about gone but the driver was OK and they were off in the ditch against a guard rail so traffic hadn't snarled up yet. I bet I missed the traffic jam by 10 minutes! I did snap a photo today after clearing the driveway.
This baby alligator was in the lake behind my patio. It was only about 3 feet long, but it had sharp teeth that could do some damage. I wonder where mom was hiding.

Since it’s freely swimming with no pod mates it’s probably avoiding mom. Until it gets bigger.
