A 3 hour trip from Boston to Augusta last Friday at 5AM took me 5 hours, the Maine Turnpike was all ice and littered with crashed cars and jackknifed tractor trailer trucks. I bet I missed the traffic jam by 10 minutes! I did snap a photo today after clearing the driveway.

This baby alligator was in the lake behind my patio. It was only about 3 feet long, but it had sharp teeth that could do some damage. I wonder where mom was hiding.
