collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
Not a lot here either, although an off-center 2nd year Payton made an appearance! The cards themselves were in great shape, but centering and print issues affected most of them.
I love the photo and design on that 1977 Payton. Great thread and congrats on the great pulls so far. Hoping this is leading up to a 1958 Jimmy Brown for you!
Just chiming in to say how great this thread is year after year.
I think I count 3 different years of Greg Buttle cards. What are the odds?
Also, inexplicably, I'm holding out hope that Horst Muhlmann will make an appearance.
"I think the guy must be practicing voodoo or something. Check out his eyes. Rico's crazier than a peach orchard sow." -- Whitey Herzog, Spring Training 1973
My fav part of Christmas, getting drunk on eggnog and enjoying these rips! Just getting caught up and the '78 Terry Nelson has quite the pic of him! Congrats on your pulls
Can't wait to see what pops up in this 1958 pack. I'm hoping you get Jim Brown but a nice centered Sonny Jurgensen would be rather amazing to see as well. Very tough card to find centered.
Well, no sequencing errors in the 1958 pack, every card was right where it was supposed to be
Not a bad pack overall. Some corner issues on the top few cards but the rest where pretty nice. Typical centering issues and no real star power, although 2 HOFs were in there.
The best card ended up being a Don Bosseler rookie which is also the last card in the set. It's a real stunner.
This is the first year that I have seen this thread, and just wanted to thank you for sharing it with us. What a fun read! And some pretty great star power throughout!
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

Knowledge is power. Neither were unexpected
Day 8: '79 Wax
Overall nice cards from both of these packs. Centering was good for most of them. A few minor stars.
All cards from pack #1...

All cards from pack #2...

Day 9: '78 Wax
First of these packs was an off center nightmare with a little star power. The second was a bit better, but not much.
