Watching Die Hard next to the Christmas tree, wifey asleep dreaming of dancing sugarplums, daughter up the road staying overnight at my mother's so she doesn't have to be alone on Christmas eve, son and family will be here in the morning.
    Life is good.

It is now officially Christmas Day (EST). We are down to 83 watchers/learners, I hear a chocolate chip cookie calling my name. Life goes on, enjoy.

Taking a break from wrapping presents! Kids finally asleep (they were staying up trying to catch Santa).

I just ate cookies (yay!) and 9 baby carrots (including Rudolph - ugh) to help with the illusion.

Coffee ready. Peppermint chocolate powder ready. Wine (what’s left) ready. Harder stuff ready. Snacks ready.

    Substantial food not ready, yet.

    Here we go.... Merry Christmas!

08:00. Stockings are stuffed. Dogs are fed. Dishwasher is unloaded. Prezzies are now laid out under the tree (had to wait due to one of the aforementioned dogs has A Real Thing for paper). Cup of coffee in hand. Waiting for people to wake up. Keeping quiet so I can have a little more time to sip my coffee  . Hubs will be up soon to start cooking duties (dinner at 3 pm today, but the biggest bird is duck this year so he can sleep in a bit longer).

That number is NOT ACCURATE. I am CONSTANTLY logged in to the site. It doesn't mean I'm anywhere near a computer.

We had Christmas Sunday, as my daughter and husband, visiting from Colorado, are flying back on Christmas day, as she works (Pediatric ER nurse) later on Christmas.

My Christmas is with the 90+ year old in-laws by necessity. There is no doubting their age, mental state and energy level. This is a good diversion.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

The line at the liquor store was long. Each customer had something to say:
Cashier - we'll get you out of here fast
Customer - I don't want to go home, the in-laws are there

Another customer - I'm going to get the old lady drunk so she stays out of my hair.

Many more comments along those same lines.

Merry Christmas and have some fun

Christmas came December 2nd 4:00 AM for me. The wife came out of surgery for a :'( lung transplant at 1:30 AM. The moment I woke up, I just had to get to her, to see this great thing that had happened to her, her second chance at life. I felt just like a kid on Christmas morning. She was on the waiting list for only 7 days!!!

    Leo

That is fantastic news about your wife!

Whenever I hear about a transplant like this I always give a thought to where the organs came from...

128 at 6:40 pm Christmas Day......

I'm the only male and I'm here so I don't have to hear the cackling in the kitchen.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Lol, I’ve survived three families this year. My own plus two sets of relatives. It’s all good, though. It’s quiet right now with just my family and my son taking his bath. Good opportunity to get a 1916d barber quarter and 1835 bustie. Ah, good to be back
