Post your favorite Widget purchase of 2019 :)

This was the smoothest Charles Barber 1883 Hawaiian Half Dollar I'd ever seen which was wholesome. Since most circulated examples have seen a ton of abuse I just had to have this

This is my favorite widget..... Cheers, RickO

I have been looking for years for an affordable but really nice design of a train.

This one fits the bill and I enjoy the design very much. It’s French

Picked this up from here on the bst, I have a higher graded example but I like the look and the holder was a nice plus. Sorry I haven't had time to try and take a close up shot of the coin so only the sellers pic.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
This is probably my most widgety coin purchase of the year. While I am very thankful that I managed to get one, I make no protest against it being a widget. It is a pretty widget, though.
No spots. No haze.
HAPPY COLLECTING
It is an attractive early steam locomotive but I think if you research the piece you will find that it is not French but actually commemorating the opening of the rail line between Verviers, Belgium and Aix-La-Chapelle (Aachen), Germany -- note the Belgian Lion and German Eagle on the shields on the reverse along with the clasped hands.
Still a nice early railroad commem no matter what the route.
That is crazy cool !!!!
I have wanted a nice double eagle for some time....
85-O Morgan in 64+ is a widget, right?
This and a 73 Ike are probably the most widgety coins I bought this year. But what's not to like about a PL CC Morgan?

Thanks so much tokenpro. I don’t know why I thought French.
I would imagine it’s quite common?
I also wonder if it was a Spiel counter/gaming token because of the reverse.

Every time I think I have enough 1921 Peace dollars, another cool one shows up:
I love this one from Dan. It's super clean (especially the fields!) and looks gorgeous!
This 1800 is my oldest silver dollar and a candidate as well:
I wouldn't call it common but it is not rare -- I've handled probably 6 to 8 pieces over the years. Although the shields are similar to some of the Nuremberg game counters and spiel marke, I don't believe that this commemorative is related at all to game counters. I do not recognize the signature so I'm not sure where it was made.

Thanks so much for the info on this one. I like even more now

Great pickup! @ThePennyLady also has an interest in these if I recall correctly.
I'd love to see a time-lapse video on how these are made.
Does anyone sill make these today?
Yes I still collect these teapots, I love them!

Widget? Probably this.

Here is a very nice 1864 Bronze or "no L" cent. This is actually a one year type coin, but no one recognizes it. I think that it is a little under rated.
This is one of the two coins I bought for my collection in 2019. It's a pretty widgety thing, but a highlight in my collection just the same.

Hmmm... I might need to reevaluate my definition of a widget. I never thought of any 1800 us dollar, genuine or otherwise, as a "widget"... ditto Carcon City Morgans... especially DMPLs.
