A very late addition to the product catalog (the same thing happened last year) is the BEP annual Lucky Money issue. 2020 is the year of the Rat.
It is a $1 FRN with a serial number starting with "8888", and can come from any of the 12 FRB's. If you purchase 50 units or more, the price is discounted to $4.50. They'll be offered for sale on Dec 11 at Noon.

It has another one of those odd Mintage/Product limits. (Okay, I get the Mintage Limit, but not the 15K lower Product Limit.)
Mintage Limit: 108,888
Product Limit: 93,888
Household Order Limit: 250
These typically sell out, moreso that they're on the Mint's site now. The last time I ordered these for gifts, I got consecutively numbered S/N's, which made me not want to gift them, but there you are.
Will I get banned if I mention Hong Kong?

I am not a bill collector, however, where I worked prior to retiring, we had a large Asian workforce. These would have made great gifts....Cheers, RickO
At least these won’t have the holder/glue problem.

The “Lucky Number 8888” is still available and using the same starting serial number.

Why doesn't Ryder sign a few of them randomly and they will be really lucky and collectable then. PCGS grades bills now
