I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger and buy a nice PCGS MS65 1883-CC morgan that I saw at the last local gun show.
Price tag is $350 but what is current grey sheet ask/bid price? Here's it says $400 but I know those prices are a little high.
Thanks

Love the 1885-CC Morgan

Prices realized for examples that have actually sold, can be your friend.

I agree...check past auction results - ebay, GC, etc....Prices have changed a bit since I purchased a few of those... back in the '90's... ;) Cheers, RickO

It's been my experience that the 1883-CC Morgan Dollar is the most common date among the Carson City Morgan Dollars. The Gray Sheet says that the coin is worth $315. "Ask" is 10% above that .

The price drops $100 if the coin fall short of MS-65 and is only an MS-64.

Lot's of them out there for that price. Maybe, if it's a real looker.

I checked Coin Facts and 65's have been selling right around $288 for several recent Heratige auctions. That is down from around $350 from 2018. PCGS is about $15 more than NGC which is not that bad of a gap, yet it does show that the market does prefer PCGS, the prices in the guide show's a price of $400.

    Hope that helps

It's in a 65 holder and is very nice for the grade. That's what caught my eye.

Really???? No one else caught the "pull the trigger" found at a "gun show" wording???? B) if you like it and you have been targeting the date....bring it on home! You can always unload it later if it does not meet your expectations when you zero-in with your scope!

It really was at a gun show. The guy has a table and sells coins, notes, bullion and firearms and accessories.
Quite a nice combination if you ask me. He also had some VG-F morgans for $18 each. But that's a bit too much.

I've been to a lot of gun shows. I've also been to a lot of coin shows.
I've never been impressed with the coins at gun shows.

Be selective and don't be generous. It is a common coin.

Agreed, but the coin dealers at the coins shows often have some nice guns. And unlike gun shows, the coin show dealers guns are usually locked and loaded.
