He may have been the one who was allegedly accumulating coins. If he's done buying, I expect a pullback in price. If it was him, he must have been paying $1400 to $1500 for raw coins.

Pinehurst has them priced even higher yesterday (Saturday). I've always had good transactions with them in the past, and frankly this is disappointing.

I can remember the hype surrounding the 2006 ASE Anniversary sets. They were $100 a piece from the Mint, I believe some were selling up to $600 a set for a bit. Now they can be easily obtained for $150-$200.

I also remember the 2006 ASE set. There were enough of those that I was successful in getting a set from the mint. A better comparison is the 1995 W ASE with a mintage of 30,125. After all these years these coins are still commanding a hefty price tag. I suspect this coin will do the same given it is now the low mintage leader for the series.

To the TV CONS, I feel sorry for the old and weak, hard of hearing, hard to see, the ELDERLY who wants to protect their Social Security MONIES/ Nest Egg only to be TRICKED/TAKEN ADVANTAGED OF/by SLICK FAST TALKING NICE SMILING / NICE SUIT / EXPENSIVE JEWELRY / CON PEOPLE ON TV making a few buck all to make a profit to keep paying for their EXPENSIVE TOYS AND HOUSES.

A question for the group: the outfit selling this coin lists a Scottsdale. Ariz. address. I can think of at least one other TV coin outfit (this one collapsed in a flood of unfilled orders) that was based in Scottsdale.

I used mine to fill the last hole in my Dansco. That's 45 of the proof missing only the 95-W. Next year I'll start a new Dansco.
