If you click on his name, you can see that he is not banned. You can also see that he has been logged in very recently. He actually hit "agree" for a post of mine last week, so he still has some board privileges. Whether he is lurking and just not posting or whether he is unable to post is only known by the mods.

But you're wrong. I know exactly upon whose heads I relieve myself.
I had a harassing neighbor once who’s father gave him a lot of pull. He harassed me little by little over time. He would use his local connections to do his dirty work. Anonymous calls saying I had illegal apt (not true) complain to get signs put up around my cul De sac no parking Oct-Feb for plow (had a high pitched driveway plows could even go down in snow on an on. Choked out my dog for walking across back of his yard. Finally I had enough. He was a Correctional Officer and was “institutionalized” mentally in mind. I finally took action by putting up a giant fence along properly line. This made his half acre look cramped while my acre was a site full of Mountain View’s native rock walls and beauty. In the end he lost. Found out later he did same thing to prior owners. Then I moved and that was that. So at some point karma hits back. Sad to see him not here too.
The beauty of the internet is that we can get aggravated while still in our pajamas by someone we have never met, a thousand or ten thousand miles away.
My surprise was just that the Colonel was not willing to take in stride what he so gleefully doles out. I miss getting out my dictionary and working my way through his posts.
If I could, I’d show him all the invisible members here who would benefit from his stories and wisdom. Those who post most often seem like they’re a large part of this board, but are really just a screechy minority.

You know what. Some folks are very intelligent and some are not. Much of the time different folks have different gifts so they can be exceptional in one field while just average in others. I worked with one of this country's premier numismatists yet the fellow could not use a screwdriver!
Most folks with average intelligence can tell when they are dealing with a "genius." They look at past and present performance. Some folks appreciate those on a much higher level. They have so much to teach us. Others appear to simply be jealous.
When a great honorary thread is about to go page 2, I will bump thread as Col. Jessup has been more to this forum than just numismatics. He has not only shared rich numismatic history, but has more significantly shared the numismatic accomplishments of others as he did for David Akers:
