While I think that it is great that the forum members report these listings, but please take a moment and capture the images and post them, so those of us who are late to the thread can see these "coins", and possibly learn from them.

Listing gone....As said above, we need to capture the image so that members can learn what points were observed to warrant the 'fake' determination. Cheers, RickO

This is an EXCELLENT IDEA
Perhaps we can have a nice long thread with
JUST THE PHOTOS, and a description
In other words, not the constant back and forth drama usually present
Very educational.

So tell me what the dead give away is.
Thanks
Raised rim, lack of details on feathers & talons, weak designers initials, lack of contact marks.... just to name a few.
Auction ends in less than an hour......hope someone here can get it pulled in time.
I noticed the rim right away and was wondering about the strike. I’ve taken a strong interest in these gold Indians.
Thanks for the great information.👍🏻

Ugh. I'm just going to have to stick with buying slabbed gold for the foreseeable future. I absolutely love quarter & half eagle indians and I wish I didn't. I don't mind overpaying a bit to stay away from a fake, but dang! Thanks for all the info in this thread and others like it.

May just do that. Your quarter-eagle set is partially responsible for motivating me to put one together

I'm not sure which seller had the fake, but here is a fake one currently up for auction. Report away!

Not sure but I see some weird bumps by the R in Liberty.
I did not report as I do not know enough about Indian gold to spot the bad ones. All my gold is in slabs by PCGS.

4 something grams is a clue, lol. Plus it is a terrible fake, mushy as heck, etc.
only 37 minutes left, the final bid will probably be higher, because there is bonus e bucks involved
I was looking at his other auctions, this person buys returns from retail stores, and re sells them
