Hope it’s ok to still post a coin I’m quite fond of.

1805 draped bust half Is supposed to be “common. “ when I was chasing these this and the “common” 1803 were tough to find nice for me.
The “tough” dates 1801 and 1802 were the easiest to find for

Nice coin.
This has always been my favorite 'Bust' or 'non-full figured' coinage design.
Lady Liberty looks breathtaking...
I like your example very much.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Thanks all. I see a bunch of those likes. I used to be able to see who put those. Not anymore.
Great coin with original "grey dirt" that takes considerable time to find in this year. This is how a 200+ year old coin should look if never messed with, and no album tone or unnatural envelope toning. Prices are now higher for 1803 and 1805 half dollars compared to 1806 and 1807, maybe not high enough. I have 13 of the 14 die marriages of this year, I wished they all looked like this but that would be impossible.
Me, I think the DRAPED busts are UNDER appreciated.
Prices for capped busts that exist in the trillions cost more and mean less.
To me.
@Nysoto as always thanks for your valuable input.
And thanks for all the knowledge you helped me with years ago. Much appreciated.
Nice coin. Yeah, the site limits the number of users you can see to a max of 10.
It’s at the bank. I honestly don’t recall. I believe in the 30 range. J approved.
Very nice!

Nice coin! I have the same year as type, but in a VF-25 grade and also original. For this series, I almost always see the 1806 or 1807 dates before any of the others. Maybe Daniel Carr @dcarr can mint us some fantasy examples of this type (1798-1800, 1804)!

Love it, nice one st.
Your coin is superb. I was fortunate enough to have someone approach the table I was sharing back in 1998 with that coin and three others (I believe it was three others) in a Capital Plastics holder and the gentleman told me they were his three favorite coins. Fortunately for me, I was able to acquire the coin that day. If I recall correctly, I graded it raw as a superb VF30 and then sent it to PCGS a single time in 1998 or 1999 where it graded the same. It is a truly superb survivor.

Just the type that I would expect you to like. Beautiful, original piece!
