NEW 2019 D Quarter ERROR?

I believe this quarter was struck on a Nickel planchet. The coin weighs 5g.

    The coin has been ground down. Look at the edge, you can see the copper core. Nickels don't have a copper core.

    There are several possibilities as to what happened, but none of them happened before it left the mint. It is damage, not an error.

    The coin has been damaged, not an error coin.

    Note: Nickels do not have a copper core.

    As asked, how can it possibly be on a Nickel planchet
    when the copper core is plainly visible?

    Just because it weighs about the same as a quarter doesn't count.

    An old Volkswagen, just because it has four wheels and an engine,

    You stated, “The time people have.” If you hang around here you’ll find quite a few posts of weird PMD coins.

    Time, tools, and🍻 and coins have no chance.
