Edited to say after further examination: There’s just a slight hairline or two - mostly just lintmarks and planchet voids with a touch of haze. I’m gonna call it PR65+ CAM

@tradedollarnut have you gotten a grade back on this one yet?
Edit: reading back through this thread looks like I just answered my own question. Look forward to learning what it grades after you submit in September.
Would never buy one of those that wasn't slabbed. A fake I got when I was in Vietnam fooled everyone, including most dealers. The only thing that gave it away was that its creator was too lazy to get the metal content right. Everything else was spot on.

I would not make a raw big purchase either, my confidence is not that high...I am pretty sure that TDN has the expertise to make those types of decisions, especially "in hand".

Soooo ....I put the coin in a plastic slip and eventually walked what seemed like several miles through the Bellagio to get to the PCGS show. Reached into my pocket and found that it had fallen out of the slip and was loose in my pocket. Grrrrr. Definitely picked up a few more lines.
Ended up grading 64 CAM which I think is overly conservative ...shoulda either gotten the + or the DCAM....but I’ve yet to see how it looks in the holder.

I was one of the underbidders - not too mad because, well, no chopmark

No. I’ll wait for the pcgs show in September
This is probably the most
Congrats, Bruce. Nice pick-up, I was watching that one myself but in the end did not bid. Let us know what it grades.

I wouldn't have been surprised to see that 1794 dollar that's on the bay.

64 CAM? pretty nice! Although the initial photos made me lean towards DCAM.
Well, now you can say you used a cameo proof Trade Dollar as a pocket piece.
