Is variety the spice in your life?

I like collecting some of the years in which the mint made multiple varieties. How about you? Here's my latest newp, an 1834 Small 8, Large stars, Medium letters variety.

Yes! Early and seated halves are my thing. And there's SO many varieties in those series, especially the capped bust (1827 anyone?).

Yes. My favorite kind of coin, the variety. One of my chosen series are the Washington quarters. Many different varieties. Along with the Morgan Dollar.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Yes. I worked on and finished an exhibit of the early half dimes, started map out one on the British Stuart kings, worked on an essay and presentation on the Comitia Americana medals and researched some Imperial Roman coin auction lots. I also finished a book, American Moonshot, about the events leading up to the moon landing in 1969.
The major doubled dies for me.
Yes.

Yes, I am doing the Bust Dimes by JR die marriages...Barber Dimes by RPM, DDO & DDR.....Mercury Dimes by RPM, DDO & DDR.....and Roosies by RPM, DDO & DDR.
Plus I am doing a Variety Type Set where each coin has to be a variety of some kind.
I like Jefferson nickel die varieties, yet also dabble in US coin type sets, particularly the halves and cents.
Awesome collection of 64s! I admire the dedication shown there.

I see Varieties as a way to justify owning more than one example of a date!
I love major varieties such as doubled dies and overdates. I don't care much for varieties that require high magnification to see.

I like variety... that is why I have different hobbies... Coins, firearms, old decks of cards, marbles, spelunking, shooting and a new one - old magnifying glasses...Oh, you mean varieties in coins...
yep, I have a couple of those as well. Cheers, RickO
