The 2019 ANA in Chicago ( Rosemont ) starts in 8 days. Who is going?
This will be my 50th consecutive ANA show. I am very much looking forward to it.

    Congratulations, quite an accomplishment, I won't be attending this year but I'm looking forward to Atlanta in February 2020.

    My flight arrives 8:55 Tuesday morning, then I have to hustle right over to get a 7-case exhibit set up, then hustle over to the other side of the hall and get a Club table set up. Maybe then, I can do some lot viewing and, hopefully, after lunch, start cruising the floor. It's going to be a busy week!

    Beatlefest is at the Hyatt this weekend. I'll be happy to catch a few days since I fly in on Saturday. Being that the 8th is the 50th anniversary of the day the famous Abbey Road cover was photographed, it should be cool.

    Lots of coins to see too.

    The US Mint will be giving out packs of "coin cards" at the ANA.
    coinworld: Mint distributing coin cards as part of educational outreach

    The U.S. Mint will begin issuing its first series of collector cards for distribution to attract new collectors to the numismatic hobby.

    The first six-card deck will separately feature the Lincoln cent, Jefferson 5-cent coin, Washington quarter dollar, Women AirForce Service Pilots congressional gold medal, Peter the Eagle, and from the Mint’s Might Minters Series, Eli the Fox.

    If you pick up a pack and don't want it, send it to me. :D

    I so wish I was going to be there.

    I went to the one in Philly last year and had the absolute time of my life.

    I'll be back in the budget section on a straight 8' instead of my usual Chicago corner - I decided not to travel heavy this year.

    Although the Under $1000 ANA display restriction in that section is widely ignored, I do follow that guideline -- but if you ask for better I can then show you anything in inventory (so ask!).

    Wish I was going, but already had other vacation plans for the month. My next national show isn't until New Orleans in October.

    Apparently I just missed a show in my area (houston)
    but, New Orleans in October is doable.

    My bags are packed and I'm ready to go too, heading out tomorrow - can't wait to see some of you folks as well as my usual peeps, buy and sell some Pretty Pennies, see the amazing exhibits and cool coins, attend some interesting and informative programs, and of course have some of Chicago's great food and wine - all of which I will be sharing with you when I return!

    @spacehayduke - there is a fun outdoor coin market in Barcelona on Sundays (info below).

    I went about 10 years ago and just soaked it in. There were no slabs, but literally mounds of coins on some tables that you could dig through. It’s held in the courtyard in an older part of town.
