Just added a very tuff variety to my Barber Dime Set..........NOT Ricko approved!

I Cherrypicked this 1897 RPD 301 on Ebay back in April and resently sent it in for grading and attribution. I thought the "scrape" on the neck was a strike thru, but would have gotten this coin anyway. As you can see all 4 digits in the date are widely repunched. Thanks for looking and comments. :)

Nice one, but no Ricko sticker. ;)

The scrape wouldn't bother me for such a cool RPD. Nice pickup. What do you use for a reference? Lawrence has this as "101".

This variety is in the CPG and thus is in the PCGS Registry which is the name they give it.

Wow... a 'midnight' coin.... ;) Too bad about the scrape... when magnified it does look like a scrape... Cheers, RickO

Nice find and the brown toning on that date is acceptable to any collector. I love me dark and dirty Type coins. They tend to be less likely to have been messed around with. Congratulations on your score, great picking indeed.
