This hit me hard reading this.
Such a passionate collector and enthusiast. Was so polite to my wife when I introduced them at
Long Beach a decade ago.
I commented on how viewing his dollars first before looking at other coins on the bourse was like eating at a five-star steakhouse and then taking a tour of Denny's.

Bryan is one of the first people I met in the coin world and he is one of the main reasons I now collect toned coins. He will certainly be missed by many of us here and his legacy will persist for many years to come.

For a while there everything around Bryan was a fun rumor mill, but whenever you heard that, it had nothing to do with this post. Toneddollars is for sure the first person to really know the deal.

Years ago when Bryan started selling he was shipping me coins to for imaging to sell on ebay. Each package was like opening a treasure. Just killer stuff that I really wish I could have afforded at the time. Having seen more of his stuff over the past few years his passion for GSA's really shows. He just loved GSA's and everything to do with them. The odder the better it seemed. I have seen about 5-7 GSA's of his that were scratched, cleaned, whizzed, just complete head shakers. Glad he was there to preserve so much about the GSA's.

Here are some pics of some former stuff, I will dig out the good toners later.

And then one of the coolest from his stuff. This was graded NGC 62, but when I sent back for the error, it came back without the grade but such a cool GSA!!!!!

You may be confused and thinking of Tim McNally (gsa1fan) . We lost him, as well.....he had stage 4 lymphoma and passed back in January of 2018. Both of these guys were great people and passionate GSA collectors.

Sigh. In tribute, here's a picture of a nice GSA goodie I picked up from Bryan. I met Bryan at a Long Beach show. His booth was stuffed with GSA material and I thought ahhh, a kindred spirit. After spending some 30 minutes sharing GSA lore, we parted on good terms. I parted with some Benjamins and ended up with a nice pair of 90-CC and 91-CC hardpacks.

Later on, I've been separated from more than a few Benjamins as I bought quite a number of GSA materials from him.

His friendship and knowledge will be missed.

I don't collect Morgan Dollars, and thus Bryan and I never were destined to cross paths. Our numismatic community has lost a special contributor, and his contributions will not only be remembered, they will be missed. I hope that he will always be remembered as a great collector of Morgan Dollars. May his family find peace with his life success and know there are many that respected him greatly.

Some folks you always remember and Bryan will be one of those folks for me. I am not heavily into the Morgan dollar niche, but perhaps two decades ago we came across one another at a show and he was generous and enthusiastic and a pure joy to be with as we talked about coins and life and everything in between. RIP, my friend.

I have known Bryan since 1986. That was when I lived in New Orleans and he loved in Lafayette. He was suer nice, and even invited me and my wife over to his house for dinner.

This is terrible news. I remember meeting Bryan around 2005 or so at a FUN Show. After spending a few minutes with him I felt I had known him all my life. Wonderful guy, always willing to help, answer questions, great wit. RIP old friend.
