Red and Brown without a trace of blue........

Sweet! Love the theme and the color!
I wonder if any of his safes still exist? We've seen Merriam's seal presses so it's possible some safes still exist?
@coinsarefun ... That is one hot hog Stef...
Very nice.... Thanks for sharing... Cheers, RickO

Sorry about the quick, lousy pics.

I do not recall if I have ever made a post that had nine likes. Most of the credit belongs to Charmy and to Todd Pollock who made the great image of a spectacular RB coin........
What a cool thread!

From Stacks auction:
**Massachusetts--Springfield. Undated (1861-1865) John Adams Bolen. Fuld-760A-5a, Musante-JAB M/E-10. Rarity-9. Copper. Plain Edge. 28 mm. MS-65 RB (NGC). **
The Liberty Cap motif is one of the favorite Bolen dies. The symbol has a rich numismatic history that has antecedents on circulating Mexican coinage and the 1836 March 23 Mint medal for the steam press launch, as well as a pattern gold dollar of that year, both by Christian Gobrecht. The surfaces are about 50% blazing mint red deepening to navy blue.

Provenance: From the Q. David Bowers Collection. Earlier ex J. Kuehnert; J. Harris; Steve Tanenbaum Collection.

WOW
Here is an odd little Lincoln token that is dated 1860. It has all of the earmarks for a Civil War Token except for the date. Except for the “Wealth of South” series, all Civil War tokens are dated between 1861 and 1864. This piece is listed in the DeWitt 19th century political items book, but aside from that, it is sort of a forgotten “duck out of water.”
It also said to be raw token with a known population of less than 10. That also plays against its popularity because so few collectors can have one.
This Conder token is dollar sized with a bright orange obverse:
It's a BIG piece of copper!
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
The sole specimen graded in RedBrown:
In addition to being the sole RedBrown example, it is also displays the earliest die state known.
That is a looker @cardinal !
