Welcome aboard! Classic commems are my favorite. I have been collecting them for decades. Your York is a great looking coin and one of my favorite issues.
This is a great place to learn. Tons of knowledge here. You will get out of it what you put into it.
Enjoy and learn.
Cheers
Bob
If you are interested in the old (1892 - 1954) commemorative coins, they are lot cheaper now than they were 10 or 15 years ago. It's an interesting series, and there are a lot of good books on them. if you can resist buying the "toner monsters," it is an affordable series for the most part.
There are two older on the classic commemoratives books you'd likely really enjoy. Both are just loaded with background information, photos, and little-known facts about each issue. You won't believe how much information is in them, and both are very affordable.

@CoinNovice Welcome to the forum. A lot of folks like to collect some subset of the whole commemorative half dollar classic set rather than the whole thing, such as the Civil War-related half dollars-Antietam, Gettysburg, Lincoln, Grant, etc.
Glad you are here! Have fun.
Kind regards,
George
