One step closer to completing my Liberty Seated Dollar set!!!

I am very excited to add this 1854 $1 NGC XF45 to my set. It is such an incredibly tough date to find decent in circulated grades. I can’t stress enough the importance of getting to know coin buddies with the same interests in coins. Especially if your building a Seated Dollar set. Most of the better material is sold and traded privately. OC-1 with an original mintage of just 33,140 . Dick Osburn and Brian Cushing estimate that just 300 survived . They rarely come to market in XF and below and most of them have been abused. Would love to hear thoughts on my new purchase. If you have one please post it. I’d love to see it! I’ve only seen one other XF that I like and that currently resides in the "old Chelsea collection" in the PCGS Registry. I’m not in any of the registries because I have both NGC and PCGS coins in my collection. I try to buy the best coin I can afford within my budget .

Very nice coin! Much more interesting than the sterile "gem" shown elsewhere.
I like it a lot. Back in the day I had about a dozen circulated different seated dollars. I can honestly say they were the only coins I actually regret selling. As popular as they are today I still believe it is a very under rated series in my opinion.
it's crackers to slip a rozzer the dropsy in snide
That is a sweet looking 54, Crusty. Well done. You are definitely right that coin buddies can be invaluable when it comes to building a set. I'm sure that coin came from an amazing collection, and I know it's in an amazing collection now. Great job!!!!!
Very nice example. Would love to see some of your other seated dollars.
Very nice, especially for the date. Share some of
your other treasures please.

Congratulation on the purchase.
I am glad she is in your collection now, she fits in very well with your other coins. Along with the 1863 XF 40 cac, now I have a little more room for some gold!
Here’s my upgrade, that was offered to me from a friend.
Felicidades!
I am happy for you.
Well-done.
Great coin.

Nice pick up
Very nice Seated Dollars.... Congratulations to both of you....Cheers, RickO
Very nice and my favorite grade for seated.
Many successful BST transactions with dozens of board members, references on request.
Congratulations on a tough date! Wonderful look.
You simply don't see this date often.
Here we had two excellent examples.
Excellent pickup!
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I still can’t believe I own a 54... It will be in my collection for many years to come. Below is another very tough coin that is extremely tough to find CAC approved. I actually negotiated the deal for the 54 and this 63 on the same day thanks to @Pickwickjr & @Leeroybrown . Without their help my set would not be anywhere close to what it is today.

Great coin! Hope to see the whole set some day.

I’m glad your happy with your new coins. I think both are incredible coins. I don’t know of a better 1854 like you said. I’m sure there’s a few but in collections like you stated. Happy to move them along to you. Nothing wrong with helping a friend out. I’ll think about the others you liked. Well congrats on getting two steps closer to completing your set. I was very impressed seeing it in hand. Much better than seeing pictures.
Nice job
Now that’s a combo deal !
Congratulation on acquiring two really scarce dates. You have made amazing progress on your set, it's impressive to see the quality throughout your set.
