@DavidS5104 In reply to your following question, yes 1883-O (and other New Orleans Mint) Morgan Dollars typically show some strike weakness in the central areas of the Obverse including Liberty’s Hair over her ear, and on the Reverse in the Eagle’s Breast Feathers.

I can’t imagine that you’ve seen a True View image of a Morgan dollar that looked like that and only graded 64.

But....Granted, different coin, different impressions...but it wasn't that long ago for me, (and a lot of others)!
I do think the TV's tend to lead us higher than we might usually shoot....(Though, the color here could wipe out my attempt to adjust).

Very fair point. Based on the TV’s, I would have graded that other coin at least 65 (though only 64, based on the additional pictures).

IMO PCGS TrueView Photos Accurately Depict the Mint Luster and Frost exhibited on a coin’s surface, but tend to De-Emphasize Contact Marks compared to Heritage (and other company) Auction Photos.

And to me it's closer to a 67 than it is to a 65. Very clean with a nice original look. Not ugly and poorly struck like many. Back up the truck if you can get these as 64's.

The Coin is an MS-66. As I said, I think I paid a bit of a premium for it, but I enjoy it and I have no plans to let it go anytime soon, so I was not thinking about resale profit. It was a GC acquisition

Never mind the "hidden" chatter in the True View I posted was evident when enlarged.
If it's "hidden" then it's not evident since the majority of common date Morgans get graded w/o magnification. And you can enlarge almost any MS67 dollar enough and at some point it will have "craters" on it. That might even be true for some 68's too. Excessive magnification has biased many a coin buyer to "pass" on a coin that should have otherwise purchased. That was my calling card of the early 1980's using 15X mags on seated quarters....lol. I could always spot friction/wear and too many marks on even the "gemmiest" of coins. Most of those I graded 64....and today many are in 66 holders.

Coin in hand just now!!! It is even better than the true view! The fields are blistering with luster. since I told everyone it was GC and I am not reselling it, I got it for $349 all-in. I felt this was a bit large on the coin, but now in hand, and am excited about the acquisition. here were the GC pics
