    Check your settings?

Every so often over the years, the option to receive these notices has been kicked off or reset and I had to turn it back on.

May be worth it to check.

I could certainly use the 13%. It won't be long before I have to start using Country Crock to shave with. Every dollar counts when you collect.

It is an extremely rare occurrence that there is an eBucks offer mentioned that I did not receive, but as of yet, no offer has shown up on my homepage or email. 13% is higher than any other offer that I can recall. Does anyone remember an offer equal to, or even higher than, this one, as far as the eBay Bucks? (I know there have been 15 and 20 percent off coupons.)

On a side note, lately I seem to be getting an unusual amount of emails with direct, limited time offers (usually 48 hours), at discounts of 10, 15, and 20 percent off of specific items included in my watch list. I've taken advantage of a number of those, and it does seems like the more that I've purchased through the discounted offers, the more offers like that I get.

Those direct offers for watched items are something eBay gives sellers the option to send. I’ve chosen to send those in the past. Not sure that your previous purchases have anything to do with it. As a seller, I wouldn’t know any of that when eBay says “yo Dan, 3 blokes are watching your Bellinger. Wanna send them all an offer?”

Picked up this 8 with the 13% deal (not my pic). It's a tough one with only 2 examples graded higher at 8.5. I figured I will probably never see those so this one will have to do.

I agree - that's the highest I can recall on eBay Bucks. Just remember it has to be from the APP (only 8% onsite). I already used it once, and I made an offer on a card I had in my Watch List (hoping to get that card also).

I just pulled a moron move. I purchased something earlier on the app and got the 13%. Then, I purchased something else and clicked the button on my desktop instead of the app. :|

    Lahmejoon,
If you have ebay concierge you should reach out to them to see if they can provide you with a future coupon. If the amount missed is meaningful they will probably do something for you.

I got the offer, and activated it, but when I go to pay for an item at $49, it still shows $0.49 bucks. Is this an app issue?

It's a card, which why it doesn't make sense

So like most here, I make numerous eBay purchases per month. As I said previously, I always get bucks offers but this time, when it's the highest percentage in years, I didn't get it. Yet my wife, who hardly ever buys on eBay with her account, received the offer. What gives? I can't help but feel a little offended.
I ended up using her account to purchase a pop 1 Emmitt but would like to have added to my bucks tally instead.

Happened to all of us at one point in life, so don't feel bad!

Got the 13% bucks offer and bought a nice card from my watch list. Couple of observations. First time eBay has charged me tax on a purchase (8.625 - local tax rate). Also, I could not check out with PayPal. It is not an approved managed payment for eBay at this time. My options were to input credit card info or use Apple Pay. Not a huge issue, but I think it is part of the reason we are seeing a 13% eBay bucks offer. They are trying to wean their long time customers off PayPal (which is no longer an eBay company) and many of us now have to pay taxes on eBay purchases. I think this contributed to the 13% bucks offer when we normally don't see more than 10% bucks.

Thanks for the tip! I used it for 2 cards so far.

    What state are you in?

The seller chooses what payment methods he/she will honor. Most still accept paypal

  • SoonerificSoonerific Posts: 68 ✭✭

I live in Oklahoma City. That is the local sales tax rate. The seller was COMC and they have always taken PayPal in the past. I think eBay managed payments is a new program.

  • DotStoreDotStore Posts: 701 ✭✭✭✭

This was a good promotion - I was able to pick up 2 cards on my watch list, and also some Holders I was planning to pickup anyway...
