@specialist I know you love coins but I hope you get some rest. Nothing beats your health for importance.

Is there a next generation of leadership at Legend after you and George that you can hand off more responsibility to?

I will be sad to lose her full time as a dealer but I’m so happy she is listening to her body.

Maybe she will have more time to post here :D

@specialist Eric Newman lived until 106. You have a long time left. Take your time and take it in stride.

We certainly understand the long hours and commitment. With that said we are glad to hear you will be taking a well deserved vacation. ( don’t take office calls). Summer is coming and so it’s the right time to regroup. Mentoring and letting go of control is difficult but necessary. We pray you accept your decisions with peace of mind. Vacation Pictures welcome as you enjoy Hawaii.

Will there be a truthful "tell all" book, or will she do what Abe Kosoff did and burn everything?

Wow, it’s sad to hear that you are in bad health at the young age of 60.
Geez, my son will only be 16 when I’m 60 and will be in the prime of his life. I better look out for myself.
Anyway, best of luck to you and will be looking foreword to the day you spill the beans.

I hope she took my post as the satire it was sposta be. >:)
She has been certainly one of the most influential people in coins that I've seen.
I hope her retirement is either satisfying or ...ecstatic..as mine has been.

To every thing, there is a season.

And a time to every purpose under Heaven.

Enjoy your semi-retirement, and enjoy what you've built.

Best Wishes, even tho' we've never met.

I enjoyed meeting you at a few Houston Southwest Money Shows several years ago, enjoyed reading your ”Hot Topics” and commentary, and have enjoyed communicating with you on this forum. 👍

Here are 3 modest coins that I still own, and am very pleased to have purchased from the early days of your Legend Auctions.

1885-CC PCGS MS-64 DMPL Morgan Dollar

Life is short. Time is the most limited of all commodities. There is always more work, especially if you’re good at what you do.

Enjoy it. My only caution is that semi-retirement can quickly devolve back into full time work if you’re not extremely careful.

Hawaii is the best. Have a great time.

I suggest a holiday in Cambodia (yes, I actually did that). Hawaii seems nice, but a bit mainstream for my tastes.

In any event, Laura, please do take care of yourself. As an old person myself, I know of what I speak. I will miss getting your scowl whenever I see you at a show though; my show experience isn't complete without it.

Cambodia is beautiful. Sparsely populated but beautiful

It is hard to take it down a notch. I hope you do Laura.

One thing my cancer diagnosis taught me is that we are only promised today. Do what you want as long as it makes you happy.
