Nice.
I do, but only to flip later. If I can make even $10, I'll usually I'll bite. I know what works on eBay, and what doesn't.

Heck, I'll even pick up plastic if the price is right....
Always, especially if it is on the ground!
Yes, many a time.

Usually! You can only buy what's available and if I waited for the perfect cheer I would have very few coins!

I do go slumming at times for something cheap when I have eBucks to spend, but the deal is only good if I like the coin.
Yes.

From time to time... When I lived out West and went to coin shows... sometimes a deal would just pop out.... especially when doing the early bird route....A nice coin at a good price... my kind of cherry pick...
Cheers, RickO
Yes I was offered 3 VG-XF silver 1500s coin for 10$ each. I jumped on that very quickly.
Well I don’t feel guilty now this is my third 38-D guess I will hang onto them till I see a good opportunity to flip

I do quite often. Most of the time it's with ancients since some can go unnoticed & I can scoop up $100+ coins for many times at little as $30-$50.
As others have replied, I tend to flip them soon after. But some I have kept since I needed them.

This is a real event? This actually happens? A coin that someone hasn't picked every molecule of meat off the bone and then dug into the marrow? I am skeptical.
I know it’s hard to believe but it actually happened but It seems rare these days.

More likely if it's a common coin that's tough to find extra nice; the 17-S reverse being but one example.
I like the '40's 'S' Walkers with decent strikes in higher grades. Not really expensive, but really hard to find.I have a few duplicates of each that I probably sell or trade down the road for some of the earlier dates and mm's.
Yes, lots of times.
I used to all the time... more recently I've become hyper focused on my type set and I'm only "looking" for specific coins. So, if a smokin' deal is there on a coin I already have, I might not see it because I have blinders on and a fixed budget. Perhaps this approach segregates the dealers from the dabblers from the collectors...

Sure, all the time the other day I was offered two seated halves for 40$. The original price for the two was 57$
I’m quite certain I’ve never needed a coin at a premium to its face value.......
There are many collectors who not only want to complete their set in their grade but also want to have specific holders so I assume that’s the point behind it perhaps they graded a few too many
Best place to buy !

Let's see a show of hands that have not. I look primarily at shows and I will buy a coin I like for what I think it is or should be.

Yes. Someone erroneously listed a 1942 PF65 RD CAMEO wheat cent on eBay for $199. I bought it and almost immediately flipped it for a few hundred more.
I bought this in an ANACS 45 OH a few years ago on the very cheap and recently sold it for a nice profit.
yes, that is how I wound up with 3,122 Barber dimes, and nearly as many Barber quarters & an excessive number of Barber half dollars

Probably should have said that dealers do not need to respond to this question.
But as a collector, I don't typically buy something I don't need (well want since I don't really "need" any rare coins).
Yes, quite often.......
I like that '54 S. It looks pretty lustrous for a 45 !
yes, Otherwise I wouldn't have 13 1864 L Indian head cents.

No, because I am not really a browser but on the hunt for specific coins.
Sometimes, I will pay attention to some stylish coins like following.
