This Mercury Dime newp is what keeps me going on fleabay. I’m happy with the pickup. Finding gems like this (and the 10% bucks) makes eBay still a go-to for me. The photo below was the photo representing the coin. No wonder why there was only one other watcher.

That's the beauty of the gold shield slabs, even if the seller's pictures are terrible you can look up the TrueView to get a better sense of how the coin looks in hand.

Nice Merc! Yep always check the prong-certs for TruViews, and of course the Shields should have them.

I love eBay. Always well priced treasures to discover if you look hard enough. And there are flat out GREAT coins listed all the time at retail++ “terminal” prices. If you’ve got EBucks then you can really get some steals.

I was at the car dealer the other day. They wanted 58 bucks to slide a cabin filter into a little slot. Of course I didn't do it. Six dollars and twenty cents, shipped, on ebay.
You can blast any industry that you want to.

eBay is a great place to find great deals on coins. I've built a nice collection of many premium beauties over the years at great prices almost exclusively from eBay. Yes there are plenty of fakes, sleaze balls and overpriced items but time, patience and practice can pay off big! Here are a few of my favorites from the last couple of years.

Beautiful semi-PL 1921 Morgan in PCGS Doily picked up at auction 9/22/17 for $92.00

Gorgeous 1885 Morgan NGC 2.1 picked up on 2/17/19 for $275

Very nice 1923 Peace Photo Cert picked up at auction on 9/25/18 for $37 along with a similar 1924 for $31 & 1925 for $30

Beautiful 1881-S NGC CAC picked up on 12/25/17 for $59

Gorgeous 1879-S NGC 2.0 picked up on 3/28/18 for $250

The list goes on and on with dozens like this over the last few years and some that I flipped for a tidy profit including the following:
1936-S Merc MS65FB NGC 2.1 picked up on 11/2/17 for $175
1954-S Franklin MS65 PCGS Doily picked up on 10/25/17 for $39.99!
1880 Morgan MS63DPL NGC Toned picked up on 9/16/18 for $109.99!

The Holy Grail for Trade Dollar enthusiasts - 1876-S DDO. Only about a dozen known and most with problems. Plucked off Ebay last January for a pittance...

Its definitely more painful to search eBay these days. But the rewards are still there. This was a BIN for under $80 delivered. Its actually a DDO/DDR Variety. Once it crosses over to a PCGS holder it will be either $400 PR 67 I will flip, or, if I am real lucky and it lands in a PR 68 holder, it will go into my set as the 4th to grade top pop. Either way - I win.
