Well the favorite is easy and has been shared here too much already. The second favorite..... I have no idea.
Let's say this one. It has a lot going for it. It was designed by my cousin, Cyrus Dallin. It's beautiful. It sports a spiffy gold bean, and it's in a bit of an older holder. Besides that, it's just fun to look at:

Flowing Hair and Capped Bust coinage, when it gets right down to favorites by obverse design.
By reverse design a perched eagle means the most, as favorite goes, and followed by the "eagle in flight".
Cannot pick 2. Good thread topic.

Nothing special, I just get a kick out of them both side by side. A 1900 with the reverse of 1899, and an 1899 with the reverse of 1900. (Both transition varieties are pretty much unknown at this point; the main vein of left-most leaf is the major marker, along with corn kernel count)

The first is my seated dime, which has been a favorite of mine for a while. The second favorite changes on a weekly basis it seems, as of right now it's this 1829 bust half that I purchased raw recently.

I've put more thought into it. When I was younger, the 1921 Peace dollar was a coin I've always wanted to own. I was captivated by the high relief design. Once I started working, I finally bought myself one. For a long time, my 1921 Peace dollar was my favorite coin.

This might weem like an odd choice, but I wanted a 1795 half dime in the worst way when I was in my 20s. I finally got this one, and I have enjoyed it ever since. It is a V-10, the most common of the ten varieites. There it would not be a huge deal for many collectors, but it was a bit of a milestone when I bought it many years ago.
The small eagle that appeared on the first U.S. gold coins in 1795 was the last design I didn't have in my type set. It only appears on the early half ealges and eagles. Since I purchased this piece first, and it is in a higher grade than my 1795 $10 gold, it is my favoriite.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?11 -

Apparently I've done a good job getting similar type coins cause out of all the rest in my set I don't have a clear favorite so I'm going with a dark side one that I love as #2:

Only really collect Swiss these days for the long haul. These two are pretty hard to beat.
