You hear me, I don't care anymore....

No more, no more.....

Ooooh, yeah, yeah....

I need a break from the hobby. The 1980's are calling with music in my head.

Need to post a coin pic to stay on topic!

Bye (for now).

I used to keep up with the modern commemorative coins. I don't any more. There are just too many of them, and it costs too much,.

The gold series started with "Dick and Jane." I had a dickens of time getting my coins after the mint lost my order.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I just buy what interests me now.. could be new stuff, could be old... could be tokens or medals... If an item strikes my fancy, I get it..... I know, not good investment.... Well, for me, it is a hobby... I have other investments. Cheers, RickO

I hear you Catbert, I'm a bit of a audiophile myself. Nothing soothes the savage beast like some good music.

Since my set is nearly done, my Walker want list is almost nonexistent, now, so collecting is much less stressful these days.

I just buy what captures my fancy, at coin shows, and other odds and ends that I see online.

Nothing wrong with stepping back for a while..... it's healthy. Just make sure that you return, someday, because there is a lot of benefit from what we do.

    I miss the 1980s...... :'(

And the '90s, too, for that matter.

Me too. Haven't added a significant coin to the set(s) in over a year. I do dabble but nothing major. Just can't pull the trigger.

    Good luck whatever you do!

you can run but you can never hide, you'll be back probably sooner than you expect. to my way of thinking I don't understand why members feel the need to say goodbye or have trouble balancing this Hobby with their other interests. unless it is a main source of income I always view collecting as perhaps my favorite diversion from the hustle of day-to-day living.

to Phil Collins, I have seen him twice. the first time was 4th row at Cleveland's Palace Theatre during the last Genesis Tour with Peter Gabriel, than a few years later at the now non-existent Richfield Coliseum prior to Collins going solo. the first show with Peter Gabriel was way over the top more entertaining.

I've gone thru cycles of interest in numismatics. After the most recent ~3 years of very aggressive upgrading, I'm just about done for now.

Once I completed the set's I'm interested in (late last year), the interest/energy levels have really fallen off.

I continue to visit a few coins related sites to keep up with the hobby but NEWPS and coin show visits have "almost" stopped.

Please send for a hostage rescue team and help get me out too. I am trapped in this hobby overpaying for coins with no way out.

I like the Red Hot Chilly peppers. You guys might be stuck in a rut.
Yes Led Zeppelin was good and still are. But! There’s a LOT of good music out there if you look.
    Just sayin

I couldn't agree more, I LOVE music, if it moves me.
I have an affinity for Taylor Swift, as well as the Smashing Pumpkins.
Put those two together with some Floyd...
