I found this in the clean-out pit below the pulper in a recycled paper mill. Sort of like from the bottom of a sinkhole.

For some political tokens a hole adds interest because it speaks to the piece's authenticity as a campaign piece. This William Henry Harrison piece still has its ring for suspension. The Sullivan number is WHH 1840-19.
Here in Florida, sink holes are no laughing matter. A few years ago, the earth swallowed a poor guy while he was sleeping when a sink hole opened up under his bedroom.

I've been known to have just a few "holeys" lying around here and there, on past occasions.

In real life, sinkholes are (can be) catastrophic.. they have swallowed homes, cars and people.... On coins, well, some like them, some do not....I hope no people have to encounter the real disaster... Cheers, RickO

Hopefully that sinkhole in the OP doesn't get any bigger!
We have one in our driveway, under where I park my car. Just a small one. Put my foot into it once and almost fell.
Worries me to think that the culvert under the driveway might be collapsing...
