Coin is a 1938-D Buffalo Nickel PCGS MS66 CAC.

Don't really think they could detect a variety or an upgrade from my photos?

I sell alot of these and the price is reasonable,,,,, not too cheap IMHO,,,,,,,

Hopefully the buyer (who posts here) will LMK what I missed?

Pack it and ship it (with a bit of added caution as a well known coin address might be a theft target).

  • GRANDAMGRANDAM Posts: 8,782 ✭✭✭✭✭

Already packed and will ship tomorrow.

Obviously not purchased by the auction division. So the question really should be about selling to any major dealer.

I voted upgrade candidate, but after reflection, it certainly could be fulfilling a customer need...Cheers, RickO

If you sold it be an adult and ship it.

Next time start it at a sane amount you can live with or switch to auction venue that supports that.

On bay I may start something at $1 below bluesheet then if no bids realist $2 below blue.

All I could really tell from the pics is that it seems to have nice luster, not a 2F. They may have wanted it for the holder as well, who knows...

Probably didn’t lose much on a $92 coin but never know. Sold a 47-d Washington qtr Ms67 for $250 about 10 years ago it upgraded to ms 68 and sold for like 15 k still a pop 1 coin.

Only option was LOL... but that ain't funny.

"Sold to cheap" encompasses all of the above.

Luckily it was a BIN where you set the price. It kind of irks me when I have an auction, they get a rip, and you see it on their site for 2-3x what they bought it for.

why 1938-D Buffalo nickels were produced .

It's worth at least six figures!
