Abraded Die 1916 Buffalo- Graded 65
Just got this one the other day. I like all the die file marks on this one, it's not quite a two feather but not far from it.. The lines in the feather and on the cheek are small die cracks. Luster is good and I am happy with it.
Surprising how much the overall coin photo/lighting hides, here is a cheapo USB microscope pic of some of the die file marks:

cool
Looks good to me and there is enough of the feather missing to call it a legit “2 & 1/2 feather variety”. I would also give it a grade of ms64. Nice pickup.

A legit unc 2.5 feather 1916. Nice find.
Nice pick up... Is it slabbed? Cheers, RickO
I also like the looks of your Buff. Nice pick up for sure
Mint had to do a fair amount of ‘rework’ on that die for sure. For me, these kinds of features add character to a piece.

Lots of die abrasion on that one, Alain. Nice coin!
Good eye
No doubt an interesting coin! Character galore. The heavy clash on that coin left a lot more damage than was abraided off.
Iron Tail looks like He aged 20 years around his mouth and chin.
Here's an overlay............trace the clashes and have fun!

No, picked up raw off the 'bay

Fabulous!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Did it get the variety too?
No, I don't think 2.5F is a recognized thing, at least by PCGS. I just sent it as a regular old Buff.

Very nice coin, would grade it MS64.
I happen to really like buffaloes with character like this, meaning middle and late die states. Especially those that also have nice toning. As for the feather, its a perfect 2 & 1/2 feather variety IMO. Or maybe it could just be referred to as the
“broken small feather” variety. No matter how you slice it a very nice buff.

Here's an abraded die I have that's a little different and that has some character IMO. I refer to it as the "Floating Jaw" variety. Several dates in the series can be found with this anomaly.
That’s very cool boy they really tried to stretch the life of those dies
