Bad transactions with : nobody to date
Looks like you have some nice pieces but man you need some better photos. What’s with the extreme low angles? Just shoot them straight on and crop the images. Pair the obverse and reverse together in consecutive pics.
I was trying to capture the cartwheels on some of them and for some reason when I uploaded them, they didn’t pair opberse with reverse since I had taken them that way. Will repost later.

Nice coins. You seem to have the resources to assemble a very nice collection. What do you want to collect? You can assemble assorted nice coins or specialize in about any area and put together a very nice collection. Welcome aboard, very knowledgeable group here with expertise in many fields. They have helped me learn a great deal.
Download your pictures one at a time. Nice coins.
Some nice pieces your have there. I especially love the gold.
Congrats on your pickups.

Nice coins, but paranoid much?
Eh, with the abundance of counterfeit coins popping up one can’t be too careful.

Thank you Donato, I too love that gold. I especially like researching the coins history in time and wonder where they’ve been a and who’s held them.

Smudge I do have some resources but nowhere near the deep pockets of some in our hobby. Thank you for the welcome. There are some very very knowledgeable people on here to say the least.

I am very impressed with your new additions @Matt91......and you only been here for over a month

Are you an avid collector prior to joining the forum? You seems to know much more than any new member would...including me.
Have fun collecting and continue share the pictures
Thank you @Paradisefound and yes I’ve been an avid collector for about 10 or so years casually and the last 5 or so more avidly honing in on what my passions are within the hobby. I prefer Type 1 $20s and anything related to the American Revolution and Civil War. There’s something to be said about coins from long ago ie when people flooded the West coast back in the 1800’s with the many assayers and those creating their own monies. What do you like to collect?

Aloha @Matt91
Here I am for almost a year .... yet to find focus on neither direction; set a goal for anything particular but for the time being it doesn't seem much fun for me to go on a structured way of collecting. In other words I am all over the place.....quite content with what I have though
Happy hunting and look forward to see your upcoming posts.
@Matt91.....Welcome aboard.... Some nice gold coins there... not sure why you have blacked out the numbers...Gold is a great area of coins... a tad expensive, but really nice... and gold rush years are interesting... think of the efforts of the miners, the assaying and minting process and the wild west action going on... Cheers, RickO
Your pictures suck but your coins dont
Nice coins, but i question your taste in carpet!
Ahhh well, my carpet leaves a lot to be desired too, so I'll let you slide.
Thank you @ricko for welcoming me aboard. I figured that I would be careful with the upswing in counterfeiters taking legitimate certs and printing them on their coins. Gold is quite expensive to get into (once you get into the ultra rarities then everything gets thrown out the window
). If my history serves me correctly, a lot of miners/gold rushers made their own currency for a while or the coins up till the US Mint intervened were not equal in value. Take care, Matt

Wasn't my first pick in carpet (putting hard wood in soon). What are your interests in numismatics?

Retakes of yesterday’s comical shots of my collection.

I like nearly everything I can't afford. It's frustrating at times.
I'm currently putting together a PCGS certified type set. It
started out as a box of 20 set. Then it became two boxes of twenty.
It's currently 5 boxes of twenty and about to get a little brother any time now.
I just added a PROOF Barber dime (1894 PR67) which is not even in my grubbies yet.
I figure I should be complete with it some time around the time we have regular occupancy of the delta quadrant.
Very impressed!! I have a whole box of Kennedies and Eisenhower’s that I’ve accumulated over the years (dad helped me). What’s your most prized coin? The 62-S is mine thus far but hope to expend one day and consolidate (coin dotage can be… difficult if you’ve got lots of silver bullion and world coins).

Most prized opens a lot of latitude.
For instance my father, upon his passing, left me a number of coins. Any of those would certainly qualify as most prized even though some (many even) are really nothing special.
Of those, probably a 1922 Peace dollar not certified, but it was my father's birth year.
An interesting opinion there @LanLord as I too have many of my dads coins when he passed and could not imagine selling them since they're a hodge podge of coins from ancients to the Eisenhower $1s. In some ways I took after his love of the Civil War and took interest in coins from that era.

I love gold. Great coins.
One more picture tip. Show the reverse of the coin the way you can actually read it, not upside down.
Thank you @jwitten I’ll take that tip into consideration.

I really like the Virginia half-penny.
Did any of you attend the Baltimore show and if so what were your thoughts on it? I’ve heard from some dealers that there wasn’t the normal buzz that one hears due to attendance costs and online buying/auctions.
