I've checked into it with PCGS for my toned Indian set. Unfortunately they said it has to be among the highest graded sets to get a pedigree. Boo.
Wow!!! That is an amazing set with gorgeous color.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
When the Registry first came out, I think PCGS was willing to pedigree your collection. I remember having a vanity set of Franklin FBs and Washington Quarters ("Poole Collection").
I'm sure they bring multiples of base value in the after-market.
Here is a slab I just sold on flea bay and it has my name on it plus where I found it. I sold it years ago then bought it back and resold it again. Great memories from vacations past. I would vacation in Emerald Island North Carolina and then take a trip to New Bern NC to go to an antique and coin shop where I found this 1918 no F buffalo nickel. Also from that same shop I bought a nice XF/AU 1927d 3 and one half legged buffalo nickel for about $70 and then was able to sell for over $1200. (The 3 and one half legger was found in 2006 and the 1918 no F in 2004.)

Hopefully this will be a change with the new management, like ATS. That should be my item for the CEO for a Day post.

Mine is one hundreds. It is spread out a bit, like a dumping a bowl of Alpha Bits on the table. On slabs, I can take a marker pen and circle the letters that make up my name on a whole lot of slabs.
I refused to be constrained by the Neo-Classical Decadent Imperialistic Bourgeois Conceptual Anathema that dictates the spelling of my name must follow outdated Linearalistic paradigms of rigid sequentialism.
No, but my understanding is that I could have my 20th Century Type set pedigreed if I wanted to. That would mean losing some of the older holders and all the fuss doesn't really seem worth it at present. It wouldn't make me enjoy the coins any more than I do already. I suppose if I ever sell them I'd think about it.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.
Not yet. I will have my pedigree one day...
This guy’s name is also on that slab (Token)
