The most beautiful U.S. coin! I own one and have only owned one other in 58 years. Congratulations!
Congratulations!!! Love it!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Thank You! If was a tough find because I wanted a MS-60 But when I saw this coin i couldn’t say no. If it were not in a holder I would have guessed it at a 60 all day long. I’ve even had some of my buddies who are professionals say I should resubmit it that it would upgrade to a 60. Either way it’s one of the Crown Jewels Of my collection.
Very nice catch. Your perseverance paid off. After the enjoyment subsides a little, do you have a next candidate in mind?
I collect Double Eagles and $10 Indians and have been blessed to build a really good collection. To answer your question my next one is going to be an 1850 Double Eagle PCGS MS-60. I already own the 1850-o
That 58 is cleaner and has fewer bag marks than the average 60. Don't sweat the grade. That is a beauty and Imo better than about any 60 you will find. Remember 60 is the worst uncirculated grade. Nice coin, congrats.
Why 60?
60 is bottom of the barrel UNC. And difficult to find because it’s tough to find them that beat up.
58 is typically a nice coin with a touch of wear.

58's I have seen incl this one far nicer than the 61's I have seen. I don't ever recall seeing a 60, but probably even worse
Congrats @blackhorse360 ........ a rare beauty indeed!

You wouldn't want a 60 - your 58 has a ton of eye appeal and a 60 would have visible problems.
The Scotsman auction it was in is linked in the cert lookup page if you want a nicer image.
I’m in the 58-better-than-60 club.
Sweet coin.
I remember back in the very late1960's I purchased a Mint Mark set of Liberty $20's in a special Capital Plastic holder with a $20 High Relief in the center. The P,D and S were AU or so, the CC was XF, the O was VF and the High Relief was VF or so. I paid $1000! I wish that I had kept it . Those were the days.
Thanks for all your comments! Your right about it being nicer then the average 60
I didn’t know that. I bought it from them and they are great friends. Feel free to post an image of the reverse if it’s on that very look up page
Do you guys think that this coin still has a lot of upward value potential in say 10 to 15 years?
Here you go!
Yep! That’s it! Thanks for Posting it
The reverse does it for me on this coin

Great coin! That's one to treasure.
Great coin!! The closest I will ever come to it is my omega.
Your omega? What’s that?
Awesome coin
Very Very Very Awesome! Congrats and Enjoy her
Congrats, great looking coin!
And as several others pointed out, you'll be much better off with that nice AU58 than an MS60 coin. Just about the only time an MS60 coin looks better than an AU58 is when looking at a price guide.

Sweet, congratulations !!!
It's a famous and very high quality counterfeit HR Saint. The counterfeiter signed his work with a tiny Greek letter omega within the eagle's talon.

Congrats!
Idk about future potential, but the high relief has always been a star coin, so it's more likely than most to hold/gain value.
Love the Omega as well.
Congratulations! I have owned two High Relief $20 gold pieces during my time as a collector and dealer. It is a landmark coin for any collector which has a very interesting history in addition to its great beauty.
One of the "must haves" for my collection...one of these days...definitely on my bucket list. Congratulations! She's a beauty!

@blackhorse360.... Congratulations on a truly beautiful gold coin....the gem of the series...If it were mine, I would even sleep with it under my pillow....
....You have a work of art and a store of value....Cheers, RickO
Can you imagine the Tooth Fairy leaving that!
Exactly. Many of us say, "some day!"
Glad for you that your time is now.

congrats! I like!
Thank you! I really didn’t know when that time would come but I ran up on that one and it was the nicest High Relief I’d ever seen in person. I knew it was now or never and believe me it wasn’t cheap but it was well worth it
I would love to have one of these are they available?
I only have one still.
SUPER.
Agree that this is one of the few coins that truly qualifies as a work of art - and due to its size and depth enters the realm of a sculpture.
Your Right!
That is an awesome coin! It is on my list!
Eye appeal up the wazoo. Can't imagine a 60 coming close EP-wise.
Congratulations! I like it a lot. I can only hope to have one as nice to fill the hole in my gold type set.
