NEWP 1911 Eagle GTG

Hard to not buy anything at auctions. I was outbid on the 1795 $5 saw this and it’s not too bad. Spot on reverse isn’t too bad.
GTG!

Very nice coin.... Is that a hit by the eye?? Cheers, RickO
No just a bad image.

Glad to hear that... Thanks for the reply...Cheers, RickO

Very clean surfaces. I'll guess 65.

Latin American Collection
Easiest common date to find not bagged to death so I'll say 63, but as I saw trace prongs could be TPG 64-65.
Maybe it’s the bad image especially on reverse... no correct guess yet! PCGS and CAC though.

Based on the coins you've shown on the boards over the years - 66 CAC.
Looks like a 65+ minimum to me, perhaps 66. Looks great
@crump41 @panexpoguy
Yep it's a 66 PCGS and beaned.
Unfortunately those are the best images I have of it right now. As soon as I get it in my hands it'll go right back out for TV and reholder.
Thanks

Those coins are tough to image (imho) unless you have camera skills which I do not. Spot on the reverse just confirms the originality. I have a copper spot on my 65 CAC 32 and it is not a concern for me.
MS64, congrats!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
Did you buy this via internet without seeing it at auction preview?
Did you notice it has holder haze covering the cut/scratch right through the center of the eagle on the reverse.
Wonder what else the haze is hiding as I used to think it was from the slabs being mistreated, but after a lot of lot viewing feel many slabs are hazed up intentionally to hide things.
CACable 64.I meant 66 CAC...
There are better images of the coin without slab damage when it sold in a previous auction in 2013.
Yes I did see that on the reverse.
Best example? No. Happy, yeah. Will probably pick up a few more with a different color to them.

Reviving an older thread. Didnt want to start a new one.
Sent back in for regarding. Came back 66+. Will get trueview soon.

Nice - will be cool to see the new TV v/s the old one.
I personally would have said 65 had I GTG off the original pic.
Gotta be nicer in hand.
Very nice coin, but it would be a whole lot more exciting if there was a little D or S hidden by the old slab haze on the reverse

Well I have to admit, I'm not sure how this ended up going from 66->66+ w/ the hit on the reverse. Any experts care to chime in on this one?
