    I will make a graphic that will be helpful here. There are several areas that you can look for distinct polish lines to identify the VAM 1H.

    I'll stay out of this, but just one cautionary comment. Beware of non-proof Peace dollars that were "authenticated" as sandblast or satin proof.

    Here's my latest vam-1h purchase. I need to see if NGC can remove a glob of something that is stuck on the obverse, it really should have been removed before sealing the slab.

    the true proofs look almost nothing like the Circulation strikes. And because of the hundreds of miss attributed 21proofs out there provenance is almost as important as the fabric. Look up the news stories of the coins that recently turned up in the former mint executive's SDB.
