I started to list on the buy, sell, trade forums

I strongly suggest members post on the buy and sell boards. I listed 3 coins in the last 2 weeks and they are on hold. Coins listed were 1932-S quarter ms63, 1909 S VDB AU58 and 1854S $10 AU58. I also posted to buy 2018 palladium eagles and received three responses.

If more people post more people will start viewing. It could become a great resource for everyone.

Good idea. It certainly puts one at a pricing advantage over the alternatives.

Thanks for sharing that thought. I will start looking and see what is there for a start.

I like way you’ve left the price in the listing.
When sellers remove the price, buyers that didn’t see the listing before it sold can’t see if they missed a deal, or watch for your listings more closely.

I have always liked the BST and have had successful transactions there. Cheers, RickO

I too have used BST over the years with 100% satisfaction. As far as pricing, I always appreciate when someone lists the price they want to buy or sell at.
I ignore “make me an offer” or “PM me for pricing”.

Great place to buy, but not to sell. That's my take.

If you list they will come

If you have what people want and ask a reasonable price you shouldn't have any trouble selling them on the BST. If you don't make a sale, you haven't lost anything except a little effort since the BST is FREE!!!

I prefer buying from the BST over anywhere with the exception of my local coin shop. Never have to worry about receiving a slabbed coin in pieces due to poor packaging. Items are always described correctly. Always shipped promptly. That’s the nice thing about buying from another collector....they usually provide the service that they would expect to receive in return. I’ve bought and sold many times on there and have never been burned.

Always been an excellent place to sell and buy. In many cases you’re likely to get retail or close to retail compared to other venues, or eBay (-fees/shipping).

That's good advice. I think. It will let you know if the seller is someone you want to follow.

I’ve had terrific success both buying and selling.I’ve always listed my coins at reasonable prices with decent pictures. I’ve bought and sold two to four figure coins. As a seller I’ll look at Coinfacts, eBay, and GC and if I can get close to 85-90% I’m happy. I’m not a retail store and don’t expect retail prices. When selling my purchase price is irrelevant to potential buyers.

I made several purchases now, but not tried to sell yet.

What a great idea. Coin collectors selling and buying from coin collectors without crazy fees.

Over the last few years I've given up on ebay and only use the auction sites for reference. I've gotten to the point where I only buy at one major show... Baltimore... and the BST.

    Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;

Successful BST transactions with: SilverEagles92; Ahrensdad; Smitty; GregHansen; Lablade; Mercury10c; copperflopper; whatsup; KISHU1; scrapman1077, crispy, canadanz, smallchange, robkool, Mission16, ranshdow, ibzman350, Fallguy, Collectorcoins, SurfinxHI, jwitten, Walkerguy21D, dsessom.

It's one of my favorite cruising spots on this forum. I almost always find coins I like even if I'm not in the buying mood.
I have bought and sold thousands of dollars worth on here over the years. No problems AT ALL.

I've bought (and sold some) throughout the years here. It's a great free service, if no one bites on your listing you aren't out anything but the time to key the listing.
