    I am no Marianne but I do have a pet chicken ..... a Rhode Island Red who loves sitting on my lap and be petted B)

    Yes or no, depending on semantics.

    The Olympics silver dollar (1992 or 1996, not sure) showed headless statue figures of a nude male and female figure. Actual unnamed Olympians were the models.

    Yes actually but more nuanced so far as the design goes...(on this coin)
    I'm thinking Britannia is not in a defensive posture so much as she is identifying herself by raising the standard/colors.
    The lion doesn't realize this and is alert because of the raised shield.
    I like how she has has a confident relaxed posture with the trident at the ready.
    It's a small golden work of art as far as I'm concerned.
