    Hey Paradisefound:
    2 things.
    1. take me out of the running and likewise if I were considered, please give mine to a current active duty member. My time is past and todays hard chargers deserve all we can give them to carry the torch of Freedom.
    2. Namvet69 and I have done more than crossed paths, we have become brothers with a common bond. There is no greater accolade than to say to a Viet-Nam vet " Welcome Home ".

Thank You to all Vets past and present!

PF....You are so caring. If I would happen to win I would want the coin to go to a family who lost someone in a war giving them something else to remember their loved one by.

  • Paradisefound, this is an amazing gesture! Thank you so much for the support of all current and former military members!! Merry Christmas to all! As for me, current US Air Force active duty. Been to combat in Iraq twice, Afghanistan once, and non-combat recently to Korea. I also thank all veterans past and present for my family’s safety and security.

There is no greater honor than to have served your Country! ALL OF YOU!

A Veterens Parade was crossing a bridge as I was driving the other way in my Post Office truck. I stopped, got out and held a salute for them as they passed me.

    Yes.......................WELCOME HOME.

Wow! That 203mm howitzer is interesting and supersized. I can't imagine the sound and pressure when that monster is fired. My first hooch in Nam was down hill from a helipad with one 105 howitzer that spit out H&I fire round the clock. Peace Roy

Got together with relatives the last couple of days. One of my nephews is in this photo from George Bush's funeral proceedings. Quite an experience for a young guy.

    Died 9/3/14

I had 2 uncles in WWII,

    Johnny was a marine

Gene Army and was in the battle of the bulge

My other uncle Gene was a POW in the Korean War. Just died a year ago still caried a bullet in him. Never talked about it, in fact when ask before he died he said " not a damn thing good came out of that war". Worked as a Forman laying track on the railroad, never considered disability 🏅

Funny how the 99% never get credit. They came home and worked hard,

These men were doers not talkers. Watch what people say and watch what people do. I've been blessed 🇺🇸
