I thought no one else is trying to build an Eliasaberg-like type set?
Is it even possible for anyone to beat it without buying a significant number of coins from PRC.

I think if he buys high deserts set it might be possible, otherwise not. Thats for the mixed one (proof and MS), the MS set he cant beat. Proof type set can be his number one.

Looking at these sets really puts things in perspective. I am the only collector ATS that has a complete type set, as they define it, from the half cent through the $20 gold, with the classic commemoratives, silver and gold, thrown in for good measure. Still I can’t come close competing with the top three over here here.

Perhaps not. Grade inflation rises all coins although not equally.
I think you posted your type set here once. It is a fantastic, well balanced set and you should be commended for putting that together.
