Unexpected purchase last night (gold, toned)

jwittenjwitten Posts: 5,310 ✭✭✭✭✭

I've been trying to slow my buying down a bit (saving up for the biggest purchase of my life, eeek!), but this presented itself to me last night, and I couldn't pass it up. You guys know I have a weakness for toned gold! What do you think?

    While not a fan of colored gold (no idea what caused that), I do like that coin...and what a great date... Cheers, RickO

    very high coolness factor: knight in armor, 1776 date, it's a ducat (who doesn't like to say "ducat" emphatically?) and oh yeah it's toned. <3

    Nothing coin related, unfortunately (or thankfully??). My uncle owns a few apartment buildings that I've now managed for about 5 years, and my wife and I are buying a couple of them in January. I think it will be good in the long run, but the next few years may be pretty tight, lol.

    I approve apartment buildings. Wish I had done that in my younger days. Smart.

    Will you have them slabbed? :p

    There was a young man from Nantucket,
    Who purchased a nicely toned Ducat;

    Nice gold toning, JWitten. But with all the swag you made on the Palladium buy/sells, I figured you would be in clover, rolling in dough able to buy nice coins like that!
