67 due to sun and what looks like very minor frost noise in the right field. Also, dings in eagle's feathers. Die polish lines may 'hurt', too.
1934-P does come well struck, but yours is something else all together.

Man, that is nice. Appears to be at the very least a MS66 quality coin. Could be higher but I hesitate to guess from the photos. Your pictures show something that could be higher in grade than my estimate. Nice coin!!!!

back in the day 1988 I had a 1935 so nice people thought it was counterfeit. So perfect and in an MS 65 PCGS holder deep flashy and I sold it. Drat !

The coin is graded 64 by PCGS. I paid over book value but feel like I stold the coin. The coin would not look out of place in a 6 holder but can not believe it did not grade a 65! I have added the truview.
As a side note most of my gtg's go the other way. This is the first time people guessed higher than actual grade.

Being as you have the TrueView, I'd forgo the re-grade.
I'd recommend a trip to CAC - there may be gold here.

Surprised as well by a 64 grade. Enlarged the TrueView on the iPad and it's the reverse that held this coin back. Lot's of bag marks well hidden in the feathers of the eagle. Nothing like an in hand look at a coin to properly grade. And yeah, I would have bought it at 65 money.

Even accounting for the marks on the wings, it's a 66- in my estimation.

Good example of buy the coin, not the holder (or even the grade in this case) I'd send it back for reconsideration. It's a 65 easy and probably a 66. Even graders have bad days.

I think that @bolivarshagnasty may be correct. We tend to put so much emphasis on the obverse of a coin that we forget to properly evaluate the reverse. Still a beautiful piece. With those marks I wouldn't grade it a 66 but I would still grade it a 65.

The truview photo shows the few minor hits to the eagles wings better, but the obverse is awesome. I'd rate the obverse 67 worthy and the reverse 65. I'd love to have a bunch of 64's that look like this one.

Obverse has a mark on the sun and a tiny disturbance in the right field. The reverse is certainly not perfect but shouldn't reduce it to less than MS 65. The die polish lines are very interesting and the strike is quite nice.
Send it to CAC. It's easily worth it.
