That is one well struck Walker. Congrats. I would imagine MS66+ and not a walker collector, but that one could make me want to be.

I'm assuming die polish lines in the obverse fields? What nice hands she has! 67?

    Whizzed? i hope not.

67 due to sun and what looks like very minor frost noise in the right field. Also, dings in eagle's feathers. Die polish lines may 'hurt', too.
1934-P does come well struck, but yours is something else all together.
Congratulations. That is a super eye appealing WLH.

Man, that is nice. Appears to be at the very least a MS66 quality coin. Could be higher but I hesitate to guess from the photos. Your pictures show something that could be higher in grade than my estimate. Nice coin!!!!

Very nice piece, one that I would be proud to own.

    My guess is a MS66+

    MS 65+

back in the day 1988 I had a 1935 so nice people thought it was counterfeit. So perfect and in an MS 65 PCGS holder deep flashy and I sold it. Drat !

34 P's are usually well struck but your example is a slight step above.
    I'll WAG of 66.

Color me 'wow' on that grade.
Being as you have the TrueView, I'd forgo the re-grade.
I'd recommend a trip to CAC - there may be gold here.
Beautiful half dollar that, as you say, would not look out of place in a higher grade holder.

Nice strike - I like it. Very undergraded in a 64

I'd buy it and I don't even collect WLH. Amazing strikes are always cool coins to own

Very nice looking coin. This is one where the so-called "grade" is largely meaningless.

That is one, super beautiful WLH....WOW......one of my favorite coins...What a great strike... I would agree with the above.. send it to CAC for a gold sticker.... Cheers, RickO

Surprised as well by a 64 grade. Enlarged the TrueView on the iPad and it's the reverse that held this coin back. Lot's of bag marks well hidden in the feathers of the eagle. Nothing like an in hand look at a coin to properly grade. And yeah, I would have bought it at 65 money.

Even accounting for the marks on the wings, it's a 66- in my estimation.
    Great coin.

Agree, I would guess a platinum sticker, if such a thing existed!

I apologize for suggesting that it may have been whizzed. It looks great, but different from most unc walkers. Maybe a specimen strike...?

    Nice coin.

Whatever happened to that 1933-S that had everybody’s knickers in a twist because it was so well struck?

Good example of buy the coin, not the holder (or even the grade in this case) I'd send it back for reconsideration. It's a 65 easy and probably a 66. Even graders have bad days.

I counted 12 contact marks in the feather area. How many marks would one allow on his or her 65 Walker?

Wow... 66 was my first impression. Perhaps they hammered it over the die polish lines???

I think that @bolivarshagnasty may be correct. We tend to put so much emphasis on the obverse of a coin that we forget to properly evaluate the reverse. Still a beautiful piece. With those marks I wouldn't grade it a 66 but I would still grade it a 65.

Point taken, but I think some of those marks are hidden within the feather detail. I do see about a half a dozen prominent marks... 65? I still think 64 is an undergrade...

The truview photo shows the few minor hits to the eagles wings better, but the obverse is awesome. I'd rate the obverse 67 worthy and the reverse 65. I'd love to have a bunch of 64's that look like this one.

Agreed, I'd pay 65 money for this coin as I mentioned above.

Obverse has a mark on the sun and a tiny disturbance in the right field. The reverse is certainly not perfect but shouldn't reduce it to less than MS 65. The die polish lines are very interesting and the strike is quite nice.

Send it to CAC. It's easily worth it.
