one NewP from Baltimore, colorful Lib Nic

I had originally spotted this on the sellers web site and had been tempted to buy it that way, but gambled it would still be available come show time. Happy I got it. The obverse is a bit lighter and more lusterous than the Truview, the reverse is spot on. Super pretty. Folks I showed it to at the show thought that absent hits on the neck and face, it was 66 material.
I've long heard that 'you don't see nicely toned V nickels', and while I've been at the current set for a number of years, I think the set proves an exception to the rule. Whether I'll be able to stay true for the two super keys is TBD, those will be hard enough at a price point I can swing.
Let me know what you think, and show them if you got your own nicely toned liberty nickels.

Not my favorite series, but I like that one. Nice color and die crack on the reverse.
I really like that coin.
Nice warm golden toning.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

That’s a beautiful Liberty nickel!
And you are correct, you usually don’t find them nicely toned.
This 1888 was my favorite in my set that I sold recently. I kept it till the very end and actually just parted with it. Still miss it very much!

It is uncommon to see those nickels with tarnish... not sure why. I have one that has been gold plated (
)....but not naturally tarnished....Nice coin. Cheers, RickO
Very pretty and subtle colors.
It’s a knockout.
Very nice!!

Nice NEWP, a tougher date and looks to be well struck, in addition to the nice toning.
Yes, they are tough to find with nice toning. I have 1912 that's turning a dusky gray after decades in my 7070 album, and a Proof 1884 with very subtle but beautiful champaign toning on both sides. Everything else not circ I've owned has always been white.
It's a very nice example, congratulations !!!
IMO, liberty nickels were workhorse coins cause they were sooooo worn down. Nice to see their true beauty. Peace Roy
